As we begin our journey into the winter months where nights become longer and the temperature becomes colder, your body will be working to restore its energy in preparation for the return of spring.
This combination of restorative yoga and reiki will focus on deep relaxation of physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional states of being. Reiki is an energy healing modality that promotes the healthy flow of life force energy. We have seven major energy centers that flow through the center of our body known as chakras. Sometimes these energy centers can become blocked or out of balance. In this case, the reiki practitioner will gently guide energy to different areas of the body to reestablish balance. Moving through a restorative proactive will help to achieve a state of deep relaxation and healing. We will dive deeper into the history and background of reiki before we begin our practice and answer any questions.
This will be a practice on deep receiving and restoring. The month of November is all about gratitude and this will be the perfect offering to say thank you to your body. The restorative yoga practice will include many props for maximum support and comfort. Each restful pose will be held for a couple of minutes which will allow the reiki practitioner to guide energy through your body. The reiki practitioner will float their hands a couple of inches from the recipient’s body to maintain a restful state of being. At the end of the practice, there will be time for sharing and integration of your experience.
